Job Description:
Responsible to check the system alarms and notifications displayed in the Alarm management. If any action is required in order to restore any Major alarms, contact the TL / CTE and get the approval for same. In case of a minor alarm, take independent decisions and act according to situation.
Responsibilities:
-Installation / Commissioning /Acceptance test for new sites (BSS, MSS) have to be completed before the target date. Take necessary help and information from your TL / CTE / CME, so that there are no hurdles during the project execution.
-Monitor the switch room environment like the humidity, temperature and power supply. Make sure that levels maintained are as per the ZTE specifications
-Check the running conditions of all the cards, present in the switching racks, manually. If there are any faulty cards, perform diagnostics / slot changing exercises, to confirm the fault. Inform TL / CTE, so that faulty cards are replaced with the new ones from ZTE warehouse
-Check the SS7 link state of all the offices connected to BSS / MSS. If there any link status is down, coordinate with the concerned officials and make sure that all the links are in the running state
-Fill up the Daily performance report and the Maintenance report of MSS / BSS / BSS-B and send to it to TL, CTE and CSC INDIA
-Ensure data backups are taken (SQL and system configuration) everyday, with the format of file name clearly indicating the MSC / BSS name Date-Month-year. Maintain a log book and note down all the activities performed on day – to – day basis
-In case of any major problem, be in constant touch with the Technical experts / CTE, so that problem can be resolved at an earliest.
Skills:
-Hands on experience in BTS installation & commissioning
-Minimum3years experience in Operation& Maintenance implementation of Telecom Industry
-Team player with strong analytical and problem solving skills
-Proficient in English.
