SPECIAL RECRUITMENT DRIVE FOR SC, ST & OBC
Applications are invited from eligible Indian citizens belonging to Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs) & Other Backward Classes (OBCs) to fill up the backlog reserved vacancies for the following posts in Lok Sabha Secretariat:
- 1. Parliamentary Reporter Grade-II(English/Hindi): 07 Posts
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university and possessing minimum shorthand speed of 160 words per minute (w.p.m.) in English/ Hindi.
Desirable: Certificate in computer course recognised by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)/ Department of Electronics Accreditation of Computer Courses (DOEACC) or courses equivalent to ‘O’ Level in terms of syllabus and duration of course as prescribed by DOEACC.
2. Parliamentary Interpreter Grade-II : 09 Posts
Qualification: Master’s degree in English from a recognised university with medium of Hindi language up to degree Level OR Master’s degree in Hindi from a recognised university with medium of English language up to degree Level. Desirable: (1) Experience in translation or interpretation work; (2) Certificate in computer course recognised by AICTE/DOEACC or courses equivalent to ‘O’ Level in terms of syllabus and duration of course as prescribed by DOEACC.
For Regional Language Interpreters: QLFNS: Master’s degree in English or any other discipline (with English as a medium of instruction) from a recognised university with regional language concerned up to Degree Level. Desirable: (1) Experience in translation or interpretation work. (2) Certificate in computer course recognised by AICTE/DOEACC or courses equivalent to ‘O’ Level in terms of syllabus and duration of course as prescribed by DOEACC.:
3. Hindi Assistant: 07 Posts
Qualification: Master’s degree in Hindi from a recognised university with English as a subject at the Degree Level OR Master’s Degree in English from a recognised university with Hindi as a subject at the Degree Level OR Master’s Degree in any subject from a recognised university with Hindi and English as subjects at the Degree Level OR Master’s Degree in any subject with Hindi medium from a recognised university and English as a subject at the Degree Level OR Master’s Degree in any subject with English medium from a recognised university and Hindi as a subject at the Degree Level.
4. Junior Library Assistant: 14 Posts
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Library Science from a recognised university. Desirable: Certificate in computer course recognised by AICTE/DOEACC or courses equivalent to ‘O’ Level in terms of syllabus and duration of course as prescribed by DOEACC.
5. Security Assistant Grade-II: 17 Posts
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university and possessing the following physical standards and skills:
Male Height – 167.5 cms.(relaxable by 2.4 cms. in case of Hill area residents),
Chest-76.5 cms. to 81cms.
Female Height -154.6 cms. (relaxable by 2.4 cms. in case of Hill area residents).
Vision – 6/12 in both eyes without glasses. The candidates must not have squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They should also be free from physical defect, deformity and diseases.
Desirable: ‘C’ Certificate in NCC or sportsmen of distinction who have represented a State or the Country at the National or International level or who have represented a University in recognised inter-university tournament.
6. Junior Proof Reader: 03 Posts
Qualification: (i) Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university; and (ii) Diploma in Printing Technology or P.G. Diploma in Book Publishing from any Institute approved by AICTE (OR) 5 years experience as Copy Holder in English and Hindi in a Printing Press coming under the purview of Factories Act, 1948 as amended. Desirable: Certificate in computer course recognised by AICTE/ DOEACC or courses equivalent to ‘O’ Level in terms of syllabus and duration of course as prescribed by DOEACC.

7. Junior Clerk: 15 Posts
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university and a minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute in English/Hindi stream. Preference will be given to persons having typing speed of 40 words per minute both in English and Hindi. Desirable: Certificate in computer course recognized by AICTE/DOEACC or courses equivalent to ‘O’ Level in terms of syllabus and duration of course as prescribed by DOEACC.
8. Warehouseman: 01 Post
Qualification: (i) Secondary School Certificate or Matriculation; and (ii) Diploma in Printing Technology from any Institute approved by AICTE (OR) 5 years experience on cutting, stitching and perforating machines in a Printing Press coming under the purview of Factories Act, 1948 as amended and ability to do folding, pasting, counting and sewing work. Desirable: Certificate in computer course recognised by AICTE/ DOEACC or courses equivalent to ‘O’ Level in terms of syllabus and duration of course as prescribed by DOEACC.
AGE LIMIT: Upper age limit is 32 years for SC/ST and 30 years for OBC candidates.
